Today at Enrich 30-8-2011

Today at Enrich we had Colin Anderson from the museum come in, so we could interview him about the museum. He told us lots of interesting facts like it is the biggest pyramid in the southern hemisphere. We had to interview him 3 times because the first time someone walked in front of the camera and the second time there was to much noise in the background. Then we imported it in to a laptop.Then we researched facts about the icons in Invercargill. Then after lunch I did P4C. It was about things that are possible and impossible. It was hard and I had to think alot. Then I did goal setting. We had to set goals for this term that we weren't good at last term.

Last week at Enrich

Last week at Enrich we played chess and I won my game. Then afterwards we started our Talent Development. We organized an interview with Mr.Anderson, he is the teacher in the museum classroom. Then we had Kate Buchanon come in to teach us about interviewing someone and how to make them feel comfortable so they give better answers. We also learnt what kind of questions to ask and to always change your angle when questioning someone.

Today at Enrich


Today at Enrich we started by playing a game of chess and I won my game but I almost lost.Then not long after we went into our talent development groups and discussed what our documentary is going to be about. It had to be about Southland so my group chose to do a documentary about the attractions in Southland. We also were going to ring SIT so we could go there to get any tips about making a documentary or editing it.

The first day of term 3

Today at Enrich we started by playing leader board chess and I won my game. Then we got to choose what we want to do out of documentary making, art or story telling. I decided to go with documentary making. The documentary we make will be entered into the MADE awards. We started watching the documentaries that won in the previous years so we could get the idea of making a documentary. Then we split into groups and did tasks about documentaries to see what makes a good documentary.
